To move your Truckers Helper™ from one computer to another follow the simple steps below.
INSTALLING ON THE NEW COMPUTER
- 1. Install the Truckers Helper on the new computer using the latest
disk you have.
- 2. Open the program on the new computer and enter your Name &
Customer Number, then click ACTIVATE DEMO on the Yellow Screen when it
appears.
- 3. Click CANCEL in the bottom left corner of the Header screen
and answer YES to the next prompt.
- 4. Answer YES when asked if you have more than one truck.
- 4. Close the First Time Help Screen.
- 5. You should now be on the main page.
RESTORING YOUR DATA
- 1. Backup your data on the old computer -
- a. To a floppy, click UTILITIES/BACKUP, on the backup screen
click BACKUP and follow the onscreen instructions.
- b. To a CD, refer to the BACKING UP TO A CD
for details on backing up to a CD. To restore the backup on the
new computer, reverse the directions.
ACTIVATING YOUR PROGRAM
- Once your data is restored you're ready to activate your program.
- REGISTER ONLINE - if you have a connection to the internet follow
these instructions to get registered over the internet. BE SURE YOU ARE
CONNECTED BEFORE YOU START!
- 1. Click HELP/REGISTER/ACTIVATE PROGRAM.
- 2. A message box will appear asking if you want to register Online.
- 3. The program should take over at that point and activate the
program for you. You will receive a message once the activation is
complete telling you whether the activation succeded or not.
- IF YOU DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET.
- 1. The program will remain in demo mode for 30 days.
Anytime during the 30 days you can call support for the
activation codes for your new installation. It is not necessary
to call immediately for activation codes, you can use the
program in demo mode and nothing will be lost when you activate
the program.
