CALCULATING YOUR BOTTOM LINE

OPERATING COSTS
Start by entering your ANNUAL COST for each item below. Once you have all costs entered click CALCULATE and the program will calculate your monthly and cost/mile figures.

FIGURING YOUR BOTTOM LINE WHEN LEASING ON
After you complete the steps above and know your overall costs, change the cost figures to reflect any expenses that are paid by the company you're considering leasing on with. Once the figures are modified, click CALCULATE to get a new total CPM (cost per mile). Take that new CPM and subtract it from the Revenue/Mile the company is offering. The difference is your Profit Per Mile.

FUEL SURCHARGES
Take any Fuel Surcharge the company is offering into consideration when calculating your Annual Fuel Cost. The purpose of the Fuel Surcharge is supposed to be to limit your exposure to variations in the cost of fuel. So limit your expected annual costs by using the companies surcharge to set a cap on your expected cost per gallon.
