Find Bad Entries

If your cost per mileage appears too high, or you think an entry does not display correctly on your Income & Expenses window, run a Profit and Loss Report for the current year. The report searches through all entries for any errors. If you find an entry that appears too high, note the account name and close the report.

  1. Display the Income & Expenses window as outlined in About Income and Expenses.

  2. Click the Register button located on the Income & Expenses toolbar.

  3. Click the tab for the type of account the error occurred. For example,  for an expense entry click the tab labeled Charge To Accts.

  4. Search for the account name you noted earlier and click on it to display the register of entries for that account.

  5. Search through the entries to see if you notice anything that appears too large, or too small.

  6. If you find a bad entry place your mouse in the Trans No field and click with your right mouse button. The Income & Expenses window displays the transaction.

  7. Correct the transaction.

  8. Click the Save button located on the bottom toolbar.
