What Is A Receivable

Receivable - an account that displays what is owed to you from another party.

Accounts Receivable - Is used by companies who do billing. When you bill a customer, The Truckers Helper program creates an Accounts Receivable to show the amount due to you. When payment is received you make a second entry to show the payment was received.

If you are Driver or Owner/Operator leased to a company you do not generally have Accounts Receivable. You operate on a cash basis only. The Truckers Helper program treats Reimbursed Expenses the same way receivables are treated, but your income due from miles traveled are not tracked as an Accounts Receivable.
