Summary

The Summary frame set is located in the bottom right of your Settlements window. Use this frame set to calculate all the entries you made in Settlements.

To Complete Summary:

  1. Display the Settlements window as outlined in About Settlements.

  2. Click the Calculate button located on the Settlements toolbar to calculate the settlement. The Check Amount dialog box is displayed.

  1. Enter the Amount you were paid on the settlement (the actual check amount).

Note: you cannot export a NEGATIVE SETTLEMENT. If your settlement is a negative number you will need to wait until the following week and then enter both weeks together in order to get a positive number before you can export the settlement.

  2. Click OK.

  3. The Summary frame set populates with all the entered data. (Net check amount, and any difference.)

Note: If there are discrepancies you need to check your data entries against your actual settlement.

  1. From the Deposit To pulldown list (located on the top right window) choose the account you wish to make a deposit. (Be sure the Balance is 0 (zero).

  2. Export the settlement.

Note: To load a previous week click the New Week button and enter the date of the previous week. Exporting changes to a previous week will not occur automatically in Income & Expenses. If you want to change a previous week you MUST change it in Settlements and Income & Expenses, or delete the transaction from Income & Expenses and then export the week again.

Note: It is important that you view the Tutor from the Settlements window to thoroughly understand how the Summary feature works.
