Enter Mileage Data

To Enter Mileage Data:

You MUST enter the Trip Data before entering the Mileage Data.

  1. Display the Trip Sheet window as outlined in About Trip Sheet.

  2. Click the Miles button. The Miles window is displayed.

  1. Enter the Trip Number. A list is displayed as you start entering the number, select from the list or enter in the number.

  2. Enter the Trailer Number. (Leave blank for Bobtail miles.)

  3. Enter the Ending Hub. If you have not previously entered mileage for this truck, The Truckers Helper displays a dialog box indicating to enter the starting hub of the truck. (Enter either the ending hub or miles, The Truckers Helper calculates the value.)

Note: Enter the odometer reading of the location the trip started. This is the first record for the truck. Be sure this is where you want to start entering records. You cannot enter trips (mileages) before entering this reading.

  1. Enter the Miles. (Enter either the ending hub or miles, The Truckers Helper calculates the value.)

  2. Enter the two letter abbreviation for the State traveled. If this is the first entry for the truck, The Truckers Helper displays a dialog box indicating to enter a starting location of the truck.

Note: This is the location of the truck when you entered the odometer reading for the Starting Hub. This is the starting location of the truck. You cannot enter location (or mileage) before this point. Be sure you are starting from the first record you want to enter.

  1. Enter the Route you took from the previous location to the current location.

Note: Make these entries as short as possible. Abbreviate and list only major roads.

To enter the next part of the trip simply follow this procedure again. You are prompted for the Starting Hub and Starting Location the very first time you make an entry for the truck, then The Truckers Helper uses the last To location as the next From location, and the Ending Hub from the previous trip as the Starting Hub for the next trip.
