The Truckers Helper program provides special data fields for brokering loads, or for data on brokers you use to acquire loads.
Below is a description of the fields and how they work with the rest of the program.
Co Pays - This is an information only field, and is not used any where else in The Truckers Helper program at this time.
Rating - The customer rating is listed on the Customer List. If the customer is listed as Bad or Slow, The Truckers Helper program displays a message dialog box when you select the customer from the list indicating the customer is a Bad Payer or Slow Payer.
Misc Text Field - allows you to enter any special search criteria you want. For example to locate brokers enter the State Abbreviations the broker serves, or enter Type Of Freight handled, etc. You can search this field for all brokers who have the state abbreviation (or other data) you enter in the Find dialog box.
MC# - Enter the Brokers MC#, ICC# or DOT#. This is an information only field.
Insurance Expires
Liability - Enter the Date the Brokers insurance or bond expires. When you choose a company from the Customer List. The Truckers Helper checks the dates. If the dates are earlier than the current date The Truckers Helper program displays a message dialog box indicating the company's Insurance/Authority has expired.
Cargo - Enter the Date the Cargo insurance expires. The program will check this date also and inform you if it has expired.
Credit Lmt. $ - (Fleet Version) Enter the amount of the Credit Limit of the Broker. The Truckers Helper program uses the Credit Limit to check available credit for the Broker. Available credit is determined by subtracting outstanding invoices from the credit limit entered. The Truckers Helper updates the Available Credit whenever you create an invoice or enter a payment received on an outstanding invoice. In order for this to function correctly you MUST use Booking/Billing and Income and Expenses. The Available Credit is listed on the Customer List. If a customer is over their limit you will be notified when you enter a Billing record for that customer.
To Setup Contract Brokered Loads To Outside Carriers: (Fleet Version)
Choose Contractor as the Customer Type from the pulldown list. (The Credit Limit and Available Credit fields are replaced with a Fed Id # field and a Form 1099 check box.)
Enter the Contractors Federal Id #.
Select the Form 1099 check box, if applicable. (The Truckers Helper tracks data on the contractors and creates a Form 1099 for them at the end of the year.) For this to work correctly you must use the Contractor functionality and the Bill paying feature in Income & Expenses to create and pay the bills for your contractors (or manually enter this data in the Income & Expense section).

Enter data in the Notes field to search later. (For example, enter the Brokers Insurance or Bonding Company Names, the amount of the insurance, etc.)
