The Truckers Helper program keeps Tax Rates for each quarter in a separate table. If you edit a table and then try to print out the report for a previous quarter it will be incorrect since you have new rates in the table. In order for The Truckers Helper program to calculate the IFTA tax correctly you MUST have a current table for each quarter. You can get a new table from us through our Priority Service, or for a $50 fee for each quarter.
Note: If you want to update the tables manually you MUST enter a new table for each quarter.
To Display States And Taxes:
Display the State Fuel Tax Table window as outlined in About Fuel Tax.
The States Fuel Tax Table window is displayed with the tax rates for all states.
To Edit States And Taxes:
From the State Fuel Tax Table window choose the record to edit from the toggle record box.
Enter the changes you wish to make.

Click
the Update
button.
(You MUST have a value in all fields.)
Note: If you change the Current As Of Date it will delete the current record from the currently displayed Quarter. This can corrupt your tax tables and cause other program errors. If you need to update a table, or change a table to a later update date, you MUST change all records in the table to the same Current As Of Date.
To Add New State Fuel Tax Table:
From the State Fuel Tax Table window click
the Add
button.
Enter the two letter State Abbreviation for the first state.
Enter the Tax/Mile dollar amount.
Enter the Tax/Gal dollar amount.
Enter the Surcharge dollar amount.
Enter the Current As Of Date as the date of the table you are using to create the new table.
Click the Update
button to save
the record.
Repeat steps 1 through 7 to add the next state. (You MUST add all the states to the new table.)
Note: If you do not add a state, you will not be able to use the 2 letter abbreviation for that state anywhere in The Truckers Helper program.
Note: The Current As Of Date for the end of the quarter final table should be shown as the last day of the quarter. A date in the next quarter will cause the table to load as the table for the next quarter.
