Verify Dispatch

The Truckers Helper provides the capability to compare and verify dispatch entries (pickups and deliveries) agree with mileage entries.

To Verify Dispatch:

  1. Display the Dispatch window as outlined in About Dispatch. The Change Trucks dialog box is displayed.

  1. Choose a Truck Number from the pulldown list.

  2. Click Ok. The Dispatch window is displayed.

  3. Click the Verify button located on the Dispatch toolbar. The Dispatch Verify window is displayed.

  1. Choose the Truck you wish to verify from the pulldown list, or select the Select All Trucks check box.

Note: It is recommended you choose trucks individually due to the length of time to verify a truck.

  2. Enter the From Date, or click From: to display the calendar.

  3. Enter the To Date, or click To: to display the calendar.

  4. Click the Run Verify button. The Dispatch Verify compares the information in the LOADS sections (Pickups & Deliveries) with the information in the MILES section to insure that they agree. If you are putting stops along the way into the routing section and then exporting the miles, this report will report ERRORS. It is designed to find errors in the AutoMileageExport. Entering way points will cause the report to show errors which may not exist since it is comparing the pickup - delivery locations to the mileage locations.

Note: If errors exist then a dialog box is displayed indicating "If you want to view the errors." Click Yes to view the errors in Notepad. Click No to cancel the operation. Errors MUST be corrected manually.

  1. Click the View Location List button to display a list of pickups, deliveries and mileage locations. The word Error is displayed in the middle column if an error exists.

UNDERSTANDING THE REPORTS:

THE ERRORS REPORT -

The first column list the location from the Pickup & Delivery (loads) section. The second column lists what should be the matching entry from the Mileage section. The report will only list ERRORS! Since these do not match you have an error in either the Loads or the Mileage section. You will need to check this Pro# in both sections and determine what the error is and correct it.

THE LOCATIONS REPORT -

\

The Locations Report lists ALL LOCATIONS in order from LOADS (Pickups/Deliveries) in the left column and ALL LOCATIONS from the MILEAGE page in the right column. These should match. If they do not you will see " Error" between them.
