The Pickups section tracks customer pickups. If you are using Billing you MUST complete the required data (yellow text field boxes). The window is split and works in conjunction with Deliveries. To CREATE a new load you must enter both the first Pickup & the first Delivery. Once the load is created you can add additional Pickups or Deliveries.
To Create Pickup Record:
Display the Loads window as outlined in About Pickups and Delivery.
Click
the New Trip
button
on the bottom toolbar. The Truckers Helper will assign a ProNumber
to the Pickups.
The Truckers Helper
assigns a Pickup Order number.
This is the order in which the pickups will be made.
NOTE: if you have more than one load on the same day the program will
increment the Pickup Order for the number of loads you have. Dispatch
will use this order to run the loads.
Enter the Truck Number.
If you are using Payroll the program will assign the driver of the above truck to the load. If you are slip seating, a list of drivers will appear. Select the correct driver from the list. You can also change drivers by clicking in the Driver or Co-Driver box. If you are not slip seating be sure to keep your truck assignments current in the Payroll Setup and the program will assign the correct driver automatically.
Enter the Trailer Number. (second trailer number is for use with pups or containers & is not required)
Note: If you do not know what truck and/or trailer will be carrying this load enter N/A for the truck number and trailer number. See also Load Board for information on how to assign this load.
