Rules sets establish the number of hours a driver may drive. Zero (0) is the default 8 day/70 hour federal DOT rule set. You can have as many rule sets as you wish, and can assign a different rule set to each driver. For example, you may have one rule set for OTR drivers and another rule set for local drivers.
NOTE: Starting with version 2.1.0 the Log Master offers the ability to reset hours after a specified number of hours off duty. This is for compliance with OIL FIELD rules, and for compliance with the new DOT rules (effective 1/1/2004). DO NOT CHECK THIS BOX UNTIL THE NEW RULES TAKE EFFECT unless you fall under the OIL FIELD rules.
