The Truckers Helper provides the capability to store detailed data on each truck that may be used in Truck Maintenance Reports.
To Complete Truck Information:
Display the Truck Maintenance Records window as outlined in About Truck Maintenance.
From the Truck # pulldown list choose the truck number.
Click the Truck
Info
button located
on the Truck Maintenance Records toolbar. The Truck
Information dialog box is displayed.

Enter the Make of the Truck.
Enter the Model of the Truck.
Enter the VIN # of the Truck.
Enter the Model Year of the Truck.
Enter the Truck Weight of the Truck.
Note: The Truck Weight is the loaded weight of the truck with full tanks. The truck weight is used in Dispatch to calculate how much of a load the truck can handle. (The Truck Weight is combined with the Trailer Weight then deducted from the Haul Weight to determine net payload.)
Enter the Haul Weight of the Truck.
Note: The Haul Weight is the total gross that the truck can haul (usually 80,000). The haul weight is used in Dispatch to calculate how much of a load the truck can handle.
Note: If you want to use the Maintenance reports for compliance with 49CFR396, complete the Make, Model, VIN #, and Model Year fields. This data is displayed on the Truck Maintenance History Report.
Enter the Tire Size of the Truck.
Enter the Purchase data.
Enter the Loan data.
Click
the Save
button
located on the Truck Information dialog box.
If loan information was entered then the Truck Loan dialog box is displayed asking if you want to create a liability account in Income & Expenses.

Click Yes to create the a liability account. Click No if you already created a liability account.
