Other Taxes

To Add Other Tax Table:

  1. Display the Payroll Setup window as outlined in About Payroll.

  2. Click the Tax Tables button located on the Payroll Setup toolbar. The Tax Tables window is displayed.

  1. Click the Add button to add a new table.

  2. Enter Other YY for the Tax Type. (You MUST use the word Other followed by a space and then the two digit number for the year. For Example, Other 01.)

  3. Enter the payroll time period for Period. (The Truckers Helper recognizes the standard IRS time periods for payroll as Weekly, Biweekly, Semi-Monthly and Monthly. You MUST use one of these payroll times.)

  4. Enter the total Amount of deductions. If no amount applies enter 0.

  5. Enter the Status. Use S for single or M for married (or head of household).

  6. Enter the amounts for Is Over, But Not Over, and Of Excess Over from the tax table you are referencing. If there is no minimum enter 0. If there is no maximum enter 1 million.

  7. Enter the fixed amount of the tax in Tax Is field. If there is no fixed amount, enter 0.

  8. Enter the percentage to deduct in the Plus % field as a number. For example, enter 10% as 10 (no decimal).

  9. Click the Save button.

Note: It is only necessary to add tables you use. So, if you pay everyone weekly then only enter the Weekly table.
