Administrative Passwords

The Truckers Helper provides the capability to assign an Administrative Password, which is for users who are using The Truckers Helper program over a network and requires restricted use to certain areas of the program. It is suggested you setup an Administrator Password when first installing The Truckers Helper program.

To Setup Administrative Password:

  1. From the Truckers Helper Main menu bar choose Utilities. From the Utilities pulldown menu choose Password Setup. The Password dialog box is displayed.

  1. From the Password Main menu bar choose Admin. The Security Setup dialog box is displayed.

  1. Click Yes to continue.

  1. Enter the system administrators User Name.

  2. Enter the system administrators Password.

  3. Enter the system administrators Password again, to confirm. The Administrative Password dialog box is displayed.

Note: The Administrator is granted full rights to the program and MUST assign a User Name and Password to all employees, and check the areas of the program they are permitted to access.

Note: DELETE PERMISSION is an administrative function. If this feature is turned on (on the administrators settings) you will have to be logged in as an administrator to delete ProNumbers, Drivers and Trucks. In the Log Master you will need to supply the Administrators password to delete logs (this is not required to CLEAR the day, just to delete a driver, all drivers and/or a bulk deletion of a certain number of days)

  1. Click the Add User button to add a new user.

  2. Enter the User Name.

  3. Enter the Password.

  4. Select the appropriate check boxes for the areas of the program this user is permitted access.

  5. Select the Security On check box to activate security.

  6. Click the Save User button to save.

  7. Users are now required to Log-in, and only permitted access to parts of The Truckers Helper program they are given permission to use.

To Remove User:

  1. Choose the user to delete from the toggle record box.

  2. Click the Delete User button.

  3. Click the Done button to exit Administrative Password dialog box.
